INTRODUCE OURSELVES:

Tatiana and Igor , “ FAMILY GEM” cattery owners.
This is me, Tanya! It
was me who insisted that Cornish Rexes appear in our family.
I was an expectant mother at that time and my husband didn’t
deny practically any request of mine. It wouldn’t be wise to
miss such an advantage and…my daughter, Ksenya, and I were
presented with a wonderful blue cat, Plush.
This is my husband Igor and my children Sergey, Ksenya and
Matrona. All the members of our family love the pets a lot.
But Igor is keen on cats only. Categorically!!!
Ìy
children enjoy sports and recreation.
As for me, I
am the dogs’ breeder. Dogs’ breeders are people who breed
the dogs and they are not quite normal people. I am joking!
But when the time came and I got married, my husband was
categorrically against dogs.... And I fiercely opposed cats.
As a result, we didn’t have any pets at home for nearly
eight years. Neither dogs nor cats at all!
It used to be
so until once I read in a magazine that the cats almost
resembling the dogs in character exist. They are
affectionate, smart, curious and even wag their tail with
joy like dogs! Their appearance impressed me. The cat
with a wavy coat , huge ears and a dog’s character. What
can be better? This wonder cat settled in our home place
in two week’s time!
However, my
recent past of a dogs’ breeder manifested itself. I felt
like showing and breeding my cats. So, my husband and I
started looking for proper male and female to breed.
Firstly, we did it in Russia, then in the USA. And we found
them with the God’s help!
I ‘d like to
thank wholeheartedly all those who helped me with this
uneasy affair. Great thanks to judges Richard Hoskinson ,
Inna Shustova and Irina Gorinova. And special thanks to
Nadya Garina from San Francisco.
Our cattery is called “Family Gem” ,which is translated
from English like “something the family is proud of and
admires”. This is the way we treat our pets. We love them
and even indulge them... They are our family members. We’d
like more and more people to learn about these wonderful
cats. May be, somebody find a devoted friend? We’ll be very
happy.
